The Triple Threat Match ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be. Several things were done right in this match, starting with the Big Show.
The Big Show has a tendency to be boring, and he has been mediocre at best so far this year at PPVs. While Show didn't win the match, he was extremely dominant throughout.
Not only did he throw CM Punk and John Cena around the ring like rag dolls, he managed to break out of Punk and Cena's submission moves.
If the WWE plans to sell Big Show as a threat, making him a dominant factor in this Triple Threat Match was a good place to start.
When Cena and Punk put Big Show in a submission, it seemed like this match was going to have a horrible ending. Instead, we would be graced with AJ's presence as she ordered the match to be restarted.
The Big Show would get a double chokeslam on both Punk and Cena, but it wouldn't be enough to get him the win.
Instead, Cena would hit Big Show with his Attitude Adjustment. Punk would capitalize and throw Cena out of the ring and get the three count on the Big Show.
Punk picked up the win, but he took advantage of the situation. This might heat up the rivalry between Punk and Cena, but clearly Punk is an obstacle that Cena is having a hard time overcoming.
This ended up being a great match, with Punk remaining champion.
Winner: CM Punk
