Marcelo Brozovic is one of the stars of the Croatia team that has reached the World Cup semi-finals and he is also a big fan of tattoos.

On the left side of his neck is the emoticon of a bomb that is about to explode and that choice sparked an angry reaction in Italy at the time, where he plays for Inter.

Brozovic has often been at the centre of attention and another example is when he uploaded a photo from the swimming pool of the penthouse where he lives in Milan with the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the background.

For the Croatian national team's No.11, the number he has tattooed on his back, it was just another scene of conflict, something he has been living with for a long time.

He once lost his driving licence, the police had to go to a Milan hospital because he lost his temper over a waiting time, Frank de Boer refused to let him invite the whole Inter team to a pizzeria to forget an internal discipline problem, he found himself in the middle of the Mauro Icardi fights with his partner until Wanda Nara came out to deny everything, and there are plenty of photos of him smoking.

Brozovic's many tattoos

Brozovic's body boasts an impressive collection of tattoos. There is plenty of variety, too.

The names of his two children (Auroa and Rafael) are engraved on his skin.

On his left hand he has something special, another emoticon. It is the one with the hand gesture on his mouth, the same one he makes every time he scores a goal.

There is another which he christened 'Epic Brozo', which he has had copyrighted and has become his personal trademark.

There is one of the bar that his family opened in Velika Gorica, one hour from Zagreb, and in which there is a special place for one of his passions: darts.

The crocodile

Brozovic was standing by the wall when he saw Luis Suarez's intentions at the Camp Nou from a freekick when Barcelona were playing against Inter.

Then, Brozovic dived to the ground, the low shot hit him and Inter were saved. He then started to use the crocodile emoticon everywhere.

The origin of the gesture with which he celebrates goals, however, has nothing to do with football. It came from a photo Brozovic posted on Instagram.

He was accompanied by two girls and posed with his hand on his chin and his index finger pointing upwards. The photo caused a huge stir on social media, just like a lot of the midfielder's actions.
