Clemson baseball's Cam Cannarella now has a strong case for the catch of the year.
In the final game of the Clemson Super Regional Sunday, Florida had a runner in scoring position with two outs in a 9-9 game in the bottom of the 10th inning. After the Gators hit a ball deep to centerfield, it seemed the Tigers' season could be coming to an end.
That was until Cannarella got on his horse to track down the ball and make a leaping catch against the wall.

The improbable catch ended the inning and kept Clemson's season alive, making it one of the most memorable plays of the season.
What makes the catch even more impressive is that Cannarella had a season-saving play just moments earlier. In the top of the 10th as Clemson trailed 9-6, Cannarella played the hero with a three-run home run to tie things up and ultimately force extra innings.

If the Tigers manage to pull out the win in extra innings, there will be very little doubt about who the Player of the Game will be. For now, Clemson will look to Cannarella to perhaps notch another unbelievable play.
