The play happened during the second quarter of Saturday night's game with Nebraska trailing Ohio State 24-3.

Running toward the left sideline, Armstrong was tackled near the hip by Malik Hooker and sent airborne, almost sideways, before his head hit the turf.

The senior had passed for 1,838 yards this season while adding another 438 yards on the ground with 18 total touchdowns.

Ryker Fyfe replaced Armstrong at quarterback, and he will likely be the starter for as long as Nebraska's leading man is sidelined.
