On November 30, 2018 Teresa Delphine Green quickly slipped out of time into eternal peace with Jesus Christ. Teresa Delphine Green was born May 29, 1959 in Aliquippa, PA. She was the daughter of Lee Green, Sr. and Sadie Green. She later relocated to Portsmouth, PA. She accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa, PA. She received her education from the Portsmouth Public Schools, and graduated from Manor High School, class of 1978. She furthered her education, receiving her degree at Kee’s Business College. In the late 70s she managed the family store of Truxton’s Confectionary. She worked for lawyer Sterling Weaver, Lilliam Vernon until they closed, H&R Block, and was currently working at Walmart, until her health began to decline.
Teresa loved the Lord, and was family oriented. She was affectionately call, “Treetop” by her grandmother, Irene Walker. She loved her family very much. She was the favorite and strict aunt. She had a passion of giving and helping others; she was a dedicated hard worker. Teresa was also instrumental. She played the violin in the high school orchestra. She will be missed by her smile, laughter, and jokes.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Irene Walker; paternal grandmother, Mamie Jones; cousin, Jimmie Gaskins; uncles, Gregory Jones, Adolph Gaskins, Johnny Gaskins, and George Owens.
Teresa leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Master Sergent Lee Edward Green (Carmica) of Jacksonville, NC and Lenard Dean Green (Tangela) of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren, LeSean, Carmen, Carlee, Josiah, and Lenae; three sisters, Ira Turner of Portsmouth, VA. Ellen Green of Chesapeake, VA and Chevella Morgan (Devon) of Portsmouth, VA; one brother, Lee Green, Jr. (Sharon) of Chesapeake, VA; nieces, Lashonda, Teriea, and Shayla; nephews, Mark, Nathaniel, Andrew, Terrell, Jamal, Devon and Devontae; one god-sister, Vicki Burnley of Portsmouth, VA; seven aunts, Maggie Moreland of Aliquippa, PA, Shirley Randall (John) of Prince George, VA, Louise Elmore (Robert) of Aliquippa, PA, Donna Joyner (Donald) of Oxon Hill, MD, Regina Owens of Washington, DC, Sandra Kelley of Portsmouth, VA, Brenda Allen (David) of Chesapeake, VA; two uncles, Roosevelt Jones of Coraopolis, PA and Robert Jones of Ambridge, PA; special friend, Norman Deloatch; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
