Sylvester Brandham Jackson, III slipped peacefully away into his eternal rest on Friday, May 27, 2023 at his home in Virginia Beach, VA.  He passed away at the age of 45.

Sylvester a.k.a. “TJ” was born January 28,1978 at Portsmouth General Hospital from the union of the late Sylvester Brandham Jackson II and Lillie Mae Britt.

He was a native of Portsmouth, VA. He obtained his early education with Job Corps Woodstock in 1995.  He expanded his knowledge and attended additional courses at Tidewater Community College.  He accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Third Baptist Church of Portsmouth, Va.  He was a private contractor in construction and roofing.  His hobbies were reading and fishing.

TJ enjoyed watching sports and was a prevailing Green Bay Packers fan.  To know Sylvester was to love him. He could easily adapt to whatever setting he found himself in and found it easy to meet new people. He had an infectious smile that could brighten up a room!

Sylvester enjoyed the company of family and friends and expressed the importance to his children often.  We will truly miss TJ, but God knows best and HIS plan is paramount.

Sylvester leaves to cherish in his memory; one aunt, Sylvia Weston of Portsmouth, VA; one uncle William Britt of Portsmouth, VA.  Two brothers, Maris Jackson of Portsmouth, VA; Kenneth Britt of St. Charles, MD.  Four sisters Davida Brewer of Shippensburg, PA; Susan Faircloth of Boardman, OH; Chiate Crowell and Sonya Staton of Portsmouth, VA.  He is also survived by five children; Keshawn Johnson, Quaid Jackson, PJ Jackson, Davian Square and Ikaysa Gray Jackson and one granddaughter Kaylani Jackson.  Along with an abundant host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
