TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - World architects have begun to have guts to innovate. Several unique architectures have been built, namely the Tokyo Skytree, Canton Tower, Toronto CN Tower, Moskow Ostaniko Tower, and Shanghai Oriental Pearl.
Seoul then decided to join the club by building a high-tech 'invisible' tower, Tower Infinity. Designed by United States-based GDS architects, the glass-encased Tower Infinity will top out at 450 meters and have the third highest observation deck in the world.
Tower Infinity is backed by Korea Land & Housing Corporation. The tower itself will later be able to perform a camouflage illusion, making it one of the kind.
The invisibility illusion will be achieved with a high-tech LED facade system that uses a series of cameras, put onto six sides of the building at three levels, that will send real-time images onto the building's reflective surface. The real-time pictures will then be projected into 500 LED screens covering the building.
