Personal Statement
My name is Rhett Rutherford. I'm a 6'5 senior and I attend Eastgate Life Academy in Hiawassee Georgia. I have been playing basketball since 8th grade. I play both the Small Forward and Power Forward positions.
I am a straight A student, and in the past, have taken both honors and AP courses. I have no problem learning. I find school to be fun and exciting. I take what I learn and transfer it to on court knowledge in any way I can.
I am an eager learner and pick things up quickly. I hustle for loose balls and you will find me diving all over the court. Im not only an offensive player but also find defense to be my strong suit. In any sport I've played, the coaches say I give it my all and that's what I like to do.
I plan to major in mechanical engineering and technologies at either a DI,DII, or DIII school. I know with training and hard work, my basketball skills will take me to the right college.
The best part about me is how I conduct myself. I like to be the person on the court with a smile no matter what the outcome of the game. I uplift my teammates and always support the team over myself. At the moment, I am a Center and Power Forward, but I learn things easily. With a great coach, training, and hours of practice, I can be whatever a coach needs me to be.
