Personal Statement
My name is Pablo Jaramillo, and I am a sophomore at Half Moon Bay High School. I play varsity soccer for HMBHS and club soccer for Force North. I am hardworking, motivated, diligent, and passionate in every field. I maintain a 4.2 GPA, while managing 1 AP class, and 2 advanced classes, and I feel as though I can do much more. I have been a straight A student since 6th grade, and have had a 4.2 throughout my 2 years of High School. I am a left midfielder, and am also comfortable playing left back and central midfield. I love playing with my teams, and competing against other people. I aspire to learn and develop as a player through feedback, by coaches, and expand my knowledge on the game to its fullest extent. During my freshman year, I was MVP of the JV team, and I scored 15 goals, with around 7 assists. I also played A level ice hockey for 4 years, and have played roller hockey for 7 years. One of my main goals is to be in the best shape possible. I have been going to the gym for a year now, and for most of the year I go 4 days a week. I also have a mini home gym which I love to use if I have any free time.
I am extremely excited for college, where I hope to play soccer and get a degree. I am not sure what field I would like to study, but at the moment I am leaning towards business. I would like to go to a fairly big college, maybe somewhere in California or possibly the east coast, but I am open to all options. Academics are very important to me, and I want to make sure I find both the right athletic and academic fit for myself.
