The long-rumored pairing of Odell Beckham Jr. and the Miami Dolphins is finally happening.
After Cedrick Wilson Jr. left to join the New Orleans Saints in free agency, the No. 3 receiver spot has been open in Miami. Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and sixth-round rookie Malik Washington were in the mix for the role.
Beckham's arrival, however, seems to put him in the driver's seat as the third option for Tua Tagovailoa after Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Miami's ability to land Beckham, who Rapoport noted turned down bigger offers for this chance, is being praised because of how he can fit into a low-pressure role with Hill and Waddle locked in as the Dolphins' top two wideouts.

Beckham hasn't had more than 600 receiving yards in a season since 2019. Expectations were high for him last year upon signing with the Baltimore Ravens after he sat out all of 2022 recovering from a torn ACL.
The Ravens didn't use Beckham for more than 60 percent of their offensive snaps in a game after Week 1. Some of that could be attributed to his fit in the offense because there were glimmers of positive play.
Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus noted Beckham had a six-game stretch from Week 9 to 14 when he was the second-highest graded receiver in the NFL. The only player ahead of him during that span was Hill.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has proven himself to be very adept at putting offensive skill players in position to maximize their ability. Hill spent four full seasons catching passes from Patrick Mahomes, but his two highest single-season yardage totals have come in the past two seasons in Miami.
When you factor in that opposing defenses know they have to shift their coverage to avoid getting beat by Hill and Waddle, it shouldn't be hard for McDaniel to create a lot of opportunities for Beckham to generate big plays.
