Darlene was born October 10, 1952, in Washington, DC and raised in Portsmouth, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Margaret Hanks. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt (Aunt Dolly) and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Etelka Davis (Brian), Rasheen Hillard, and Toni Foreman.
