Personal Statement
As a sophomore student continuing my studies in French Immersion in high school - my goal is to pursue my university studies alongside baseball. I love baseball - but I also know I need to continue to study classes in sciences, math and business as those are also interests of mine.
When it comes to baseball - I love to pitch. Primarily as a starter - but I am also learning how to come in as a relief pitcher too. I feel I am a very calm person who does not get too high when things are going well or get too upset if things don't go my way. I just try and be as consistant as I can. I can also play first base and the outfield.
My baseball interests are being further developed at a baseball specific academy in my home town of Victoria, BC at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence ( PISE ) which is also home to many Canadian Olympic Athletes. I am continuing to learn about core strength training, baseball specific weigh training, nutrition, and sport psychology. So far - this program has been amazing for me. I really love to hang around other guys my age who also love baseball as much as I do.
