Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby earned a hefty raise on Thursday.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders reworked Crosby's contract to give him a $6 million raise for the 2024 season. Las Vegas also moved an additional $1.2 million into 2025.

His contract length wasn't affected by the raise, meaning that the 26-year-old still has three seasons left on the four-year contract initially worth $94 million that he signed with the Raiders during the 2022 offseason (via Spotrac).
Crosby has spent all five years of his career with the Raiders, building upon a breakout rookie season and developing into one of the NFL's top pass-rushers. He amassed a career-high 14.5 sacks in 2023, marking the third year in which he recorded a double-digit sack total.
He's able to remain a consistent presence in opposing backfields even when he's not rushing the passer, as his 45 tackles for loss over the past two seasons are more than any other NFL player.
Crosby isn't shy about his admiration for the team as a whole, discussing his intent to develop as a leader when speaking to reporters on April 15.
"I pour my heart and soul into this, and I want to be the best leader and teammate I can be on a daily basis," he said, per Levi Edwards of the team's official website. "Being a Raider is something that's special to me."
Crosby's also been a vocal supporter of head coach Antonio Pierce, publicly calling for the Raiders to remove Pierce's interim tag and hire him as a full-time head coach after the 2023 season concluded.

On Jan. 19, Las Vegas hired Pierce as the team's full-time head coach.
Given his continued support of the organization as well as his stellar production on the field, it's easy to see why the Raiders gave Crosby a $6 million boost to his 2024 salary.
