The second update in 2024 MLB All-Star Game voting released on Monday, with New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper leading their respective leagues.

Harper's 2,037,523 votes are the most in the National League, while Judge's 2,375,199 votes are the highest amount in the American League. Yankees teammate Juan Soto is the only other player to eclipse two million votes, recording 2,136,383 in the latest update.

This isn't a major change since the first update from the league on fan ballots, as Judge and Harper were both the top vote-getters in the initial release. If the results hold until the end of Phase 1 of the voting process, the two stars will automatically earn starting spots in the All-Star Game.

There shouldn't be much controversy regarding their spot in the voting, as both players are in the midst of incredible seasons at the plate for teams that are both expected to contend for the postseason.

Harper has racked up 18 home runs and 51 RBIs in 72 games, hitting .297 while recording an impressive .955 OPS. He's helped the Phillies jump out to a 51-26 record, the best mark among NL teams.

As for Judge, his 28 homers and 70 RBIs both represent the highest totals in the majors. He's already recorded 22 doubles in his 78 appearances to go along with a tremendous .300/.423/.686 slash line.

After the two top spots are secured, voting moves to Phase 2. Fans will choose between the two finalists at each position to determine a starter, with six finalists included for the outfield. Vote totals do not carry over from Phase 1 to Phase 2.

This should lead to some close battles that determine which two players will advance to the next phase. In the NL third baseman voting, San Diego Padres infielder Manny Machado has the second-most votes. However, Joey Oritz of the Milwaukee Brewers is roughly 60,000 votes behind him.

The AL designated hitter battle is even closer, as Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton has 717,023 votes in second place while David Fry of the Cleveland Guardians has 706,262 votes in third.

Phase 1 of the voting process concludes on Thursday at 12 p.m. ET, with Phase 2 beginning on June 30.
