Personal Statement
My name is Matt Slavik, and as a junior I wrestled at 145 pounds. Because of my leadership and hard work, I was chosen to be captain of our varsity squad by my peers. I am a two time all conference wrestler and helped lead our team to a regional championship. This spring I placed 4th in the Illinois Freestyle state competiton.
I am looking for a university with a quality academic program to help me reach my career goals in either business or engineering. I am looking to wrestle in college because I love the sport and it constantly challenges me. If I wrestled on your team, I would like to make an impact on the program by having great work ethic, dedication, and desire.
