Personal Statement

The goals I have for college is to be the best player and student I can be. I believe I can maintain a high level of academics and athletics throughout my college career. I believe this because I work hard to improve myself every day. I feel as if I need to work harder than everyone else because I want to be better than everyone else. To be better than everyone, there needs to be self development and critique.

I have played many innings of baseball in my career. I have also made many mistakes. Practice helps, but I also like to watch professional baseball to learn more about the game I love. I study the game by watching the MLB Postseason and trying to learn from the pros that are succeeding at their job. What I have learned most is keeping the mental edge is crucial. The players that can stay cool, even when it seems it isn't going their way, eventually succeed. That is something that I have struggled with throughout my career. Throughout high school, though, I have recognized that weakness and worked hard to improve it. There are so many things to learn and improve about playing baseball. That is why I want to play college baseball.
