TEMPO.CO, Sao Paulo - Sao Paulo's President, Carlos Miguel Aidar, said AC Milan’s star Kaka could return to Brazil this summer. A number of sources close to Kaka revealed the 32-year-old has made a deal with a U.S. football club, Orlando City. But the club will not be playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS) until March 2015. Kaka is expected to join Sao Paulo on a temporary basis.
In relation to the report, Aidar told ESPN: "I can’t speak, I’m at Itaquera [for Uruguay’s World Cup clash with England], but the deal is very close.”
Both clubs have a good relationship and Orlando City may have to subsidize Kaka’s salary during his term in Brazil. Kaka may be with Sao Paulo until the end of 2014 before moving to MLS.
Earlier this month, Sao Paulo coach, Muricy Ramalho, told ESPN Brazil: "He’s a fantastic player, but it’s very difficult because the financial aspect counts a lot," adding that clubs in Brazil are in financial difficulties.
"We have seen many times in football that impossible things do actually happen, so maybe that will also happen with Kaka," Ramalho added.
