Personal Statement

My name is Kaegan Lee, and I am a student-athlete at an advanced college preparatory private school in Huntsville, Alabama where I take advanced courses. I am currently in the 8th grade and my course load consists of chemistry, physics, algebra 1, Spanish, robotics, and design engineering. I am very interested in computer programming and building electronics. I am a creative, outside-the-box thinker, and this helps me in the classroom and on the court when I play volleyball.

Volleyball runs in my family. My grandpa was a college coach and club director, my mom played in college, still plays open level beach tournaments, and coaches, and my aunts all played in college and coach currently. It is safe to say that I was born for volleyball. I started playing when I was really young by peppering with my family members at home and at volleyball events. When I was 8 and 9, I played two seasons on an 11U girl's club team (NASA and United in Huntsville, Alabama). I took a little break, but after COVID-19, I started playing again. I play indoor on the United 16U boy's team as a libero and I play beach, often competing in the 16U division as a right-side defender. I love volleyball because of how fun the sport is and how it brings people together through competing towards a common goal.

I am a hardworking and positive player and student, and I hope to one day play at the next level.
