Personal Statement

I have been playing volleyball since I was in the fifth grade. When I stepped on the court for the first time I knew that I wanted to go far in volleyball and my desire to play at the collegiate level has grown ever since.

I am a quick learner and am very coachable. I enjoy being pushed hard in order to reach my goals and my full potential. I have fast reflexes which help me to move quickly across the court. I have strong leadership skills and choose to show them by leading my teammates by example on and off the court. I am very encouraging to my teammates and strive to help them and the team in any way possible.

I am also an A+ student. I study hard in order to maintain my high GPA. I am involved with many clubs at my high school, including Key Club, St. Jude Club, Spanish Club, and Easter Seals Club.

I would like to attend a college where I am able to push to be the best version of myself in the classroom and on the volleyball court. I am open to all possibilities and hope to find the right college that allows me to achieve both my academic and athletic goals. I hope to become a strong leader and to make my parents proud.
