Personal Statement
My name is Jai Makhija, I am 16 years old, born and brought up in Hong Kong and for as long as I can remember, basketball has been a defining part of my life. Growing up in a vibrant and multicultural community, I have been privileged to meet and be shaped by a magnitude of people both on and off the basketball court. I strive to be a humble, hard-working individual and I try my utmost best to channel these qualities into my game.
I am a proud member of 3 different basketball teams, and I am currently the school varsity and club team captain. I not only take pride in leading others but learning from them as well, and learning more about how I can improve my skills as a team player and a leader.
I feel my best when I am playing basketball, and I hope to find the perfect college for me where I can play basketball - like I was born to do.
I strive to be the best player in every team and camp I join and work my hardest always.
