Personal Statement
I am a committed, determined and driven volleyball player. I have played for Marin Juniors Volleyball Club for 7 years where I have been excelling as an outside hitter and all around 6 position player. I have been participating in tournaments locally and around the country. I have played Beach volleyball the past two years which has added to my skillset. In addition to my overall love for the game and competition, I pride myself on working hard to continually improve my game skills, a positive attitude, good communication skills and constant hustle on the court.
Academically, I am in the top 5% of my class. I remain active in Leadership/ASB and National Charity League (NCL) working on a variety of community service projects. My goal as a volleyball player is to continue the sport through the collegiate level. I am looking for the best fit academically and athletically that will allow me to play the sport I love through college.
Outside of volleyball, my other hobbies/interests include skiing, music, painting, teaching myself piano, reading sci-fi fiction, and spending time with my friends and family of five.
This year I am taking a gap year to explore my passions and interests, as well as participating in a philanthropy program abroad. I am also coaching at a local high school which is proving to be a lot of fun!
