Personal Statement
I am thankful to have a loving and supportive family structure that has taught me to be honest, respectful, hard working and humble. Their unconditional love fosters an environment of open communication and learning. They have instilled a belief that everything is earned, and the feeling of entitlement is unacceptable. I know they will always be there to support me in becoming a balanced, well rounded individual.
Furthermore, I am extremely fortunate to be a part of a highly decorated academic and athletic institution like Kimberly High School. Being challenged and held accountable for my efforts in the classroom and athletic arenas is preparing me to be a well-rounded person. As a disciplined, diligent student and multi-sport athlete, learning the values of leadership, work ethic, commitment, weight room, film study and time management provides me a solid foundation for future success. Our program uses phrases like “F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Forget About Me I Love You)” and “Water the Bamboo” as pillars for growth and development.
I am looking for an institution that also has these characteristics and provides me opportunities on and off the court. My education is very important to me as this will help me be successful long after the ball stops bouncing. I am a winner and have been a part of very successful teams in every sport my entire life. I have performed in high pressure situations and have learned, and will continue learning, how to prepare for them. These traits will impact your team! I am excited to explore this journey!
