Personal Statement
Even if I'm the starter, I always train as if I'm the backup keeper trying to earn a spot. I am coachable, have a positive attitude, incredible work ethic, and I am willing to learn and train until I get it right. I am currently taking my gap-year playing for Eture and Ribarroja CF (Preferente Division) in Valencia, Spain.
I played center back for eight seasons prior to moving into goal, so I am very comfortable using my feet and distributing from the back. I bring my experience and footwork from the backline into goal with competent, safe distribution from the back and good communication with the back line. I am a big, strong goalkeeper who is confident in the air, but just as able to make quick, reaction saves as well.
I am looking for a program that can continue to challenge me on and off the field. I want a program that can help me continue improving, give me the opportunity to compete for playing time, and grow in the goalkeeper position at the college level so that I can achieve my goal of playing professionally after college.
