If getting to the salon is tricky, Afanaseva recommends waiting rather than attempting the application on your own. Simply consider it an excuse to let the lashes breathe.

"As professionals, we strongly advise not to try to apply for lash extensions at home, unless you are licensed to do so because the eyes are a very sensitive area and it can cause serious eye damage and or allergies," she says.
