Hopkins had a breakout year in his second season in 2014, catching 76 passes for 1,210 yards and six touchdowns. He became the Texans' top target, surpassing star wide receiver Andre Johnson in the process.
Though he's not the biggest pass-catcher, Hopkins (6'1", 218 lbs) has been consistent in his first two seasons in the NFL. In his rookie season, he averaged 15.4 yards per reception. That number rose to 15.9 last season. He recorded 100-plus yards in four games last year, a number that should increase with more plays coming his way once he's healthy.
Newly acquired Cecil Shorts III would likely assume top wide receiver duties should Hopkins miss game time this season, though Nate Washington has experience in that role as well. Spending the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shorts saw his numbers drop from 979 yards in 2012 to 557 in 2014.
