Personal Statement

My collegiate goals would be to play Lacrosse in college and to be a great teammate.  My current position on my Varsity and Club Lacrosse Team is Defense Short Stick Midfielder.  The teams also use my speed to clear.  I also have great vision on the field and a very smart player.  I do not make my field presence be about me but about my team.  With my great vision on the field, I am able to put my teammates in position to score.  Most of my points come from assists instead of my scoring.  I do score but I am an unselfish player and get excited when I put the ball in my teammates hands.

I challenge myself off the field as well.  I am a three sport athlete for the past three years.  I am a Varsity Wrestler for the past two years at 120 and 126.  This year I will be wrestling at 126 or 132.  I am a member of the Cross Country team and this has helped my speed and agility on the Lacrosse field.  My class schedule is also rigorous with Honors or AP Classes.  I have taken AP tests in Physics, European History and US History scoring either 4 and 5.  Senior year I am registered to take AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Psychology, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Government.  This rigorous schedule and my commitment to challenge myself has resulted in a 3.4 unweighted and 3.7 weighted GPA and selection to the National Honor Society.  My studies helped me obtain a 32 ACT score with 35 subscores in Science and Math and a 32 in Reading.

The greatest accomplishment I achieved to date that challenged me and demonstrated my character was I earned the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of thirteen (13)  I was the youngest scout in my troop and one of the youngest in my district.  I earned five (45) merit badges of the one hundred twenty (120) available.    I held various leadership positions including Den Chief where I assisted younger Cub Scouts earn their Arrow of Light and crossover to Boy Scouts.  I was a Patrol Leader for my troop and my Jamboree Troop, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Order of the Arrow troop representative.  I was elected by my troop into the Honor Society of Scouting which is the Order of the Arrow.  Members are selected because they demonstrate the values of cheerful service, commitment to camping and commitment to the BSA.

I believe I am a good candidate for a college Lacrosse team because I am a complete package.  I have demonstrated my abilities and character in the classroom, in the community through Scouting and in the athletic arenas.
