Personal Statement
There is nothing better than being carried off the field after scoring the game winning goal, touchdown or making a game saving defensive stop. The highlight play is what the fans remember. Those moments are not what I remember about the teams which I have been a part of. I remember overcoming all of the challenges with my teammates and the coaches who made us believe that we could succeed if we put the work in. Those bonds are why I love the game and want to keep playing.
I take pride in the effort that I put in on the field and in the classroom. I try to set an example by maintaining a high GPA, volunteering in the community and by being the hardest worker on the field. I am not an outspoken face of the program but I thrive as a tone setter and am the backbone of my team. I would describe my game as relentless.
I plan to continue playing lacrosse in college so that I can continue building my work ethic while creating lasting friendships and memories with my teammates. My academic and athletic ability has provided me an opportunity, I plan to make the most of it.
