Personal Statement

My name is Chloe Williams and I love golf. I work hard, practice daily and continually want to improve my game. I'm highly energetic, but know when to be serious.

I suffer from ADHD, but when I get on the golf course, you wouldn't know it. I feel at ease on the course.

I didn't do well academically my Freshman year, but then I was diagnosed with ADHD and have learned to work through it.  My grades have improved since then. In fact, I ended my Junior year with a 3.3!

I have never missed a homework assignment. I am a self starter and pride myself on continuing to improve myself. My parents have never had to tell me to get up, do my homework, prepare for tests or get my chores done.

I have always excelled under pressure. As a Sophomore, on the last day of try-outs, I was told I had to shoot a 75 to be on the Varsity team. I shot a 74.

As a Junior, I led my team in the conference tournament to make 1st team GGCL all-star. At the sectional tournament, I led my team and finished 2nd. This placed me on 1st Southwest Ohio Sectionals. At Southwest Ohio District Tournament, I shot a 79, placing 5th to help my team qualify for the Ohio State Tournament. At the Ohio State Tournament, I shot a 2 day, 162, to finish in the top 25 in the State.

During this past summer, I've had 3 rounds at 3 over par to win 2 tournaments in the Cincinnati area. At the Cincinnati Junior Girls Golf Championship, I played the back 9 at 1 under par and had to birdie 18 to earn a medalist position, which I did. So, like I said, I welcome pressure.

I worked hard this past summer on a few swing changes which helped me to become the youngest Club Champion ever at Kenwood Country Club.

I get up 3 days a week to workout with a trainer at 4:45am to stay in great shape for golf during the summer and school year.

My Senior golf year has started and I just shot 5 over par, individually placing 12th and helping my team to finish 3rd among the top Ohio teams.

I'm a team player when I need to be or an individual player when I need to. I have loved and appreciated the camaraderie of my golf team over the years and look forward to more in the future.

I welcome any questions you may have and will keep you updated as my Senior year goes on.

Thank you,

Chloe Williams
