Personal Statement
Playing college golf is a huge goal for me! I play in a lot of tournaments compared to most players. I just can't stand to sit on the sidelines knowing there is an opportunity to be out there competing.
We have heard many times that coaches don't always give Arizona golfers a shot because they think that desert golf is easy. Any shots offline here can quickly find their way into a jumping cholla or some other cactus which is almost always an unplayable shot - compared to other places that have kinder trees and bushes that you can hit out of and save a shot.
In Arizona, I can drive about an hour north to the same elevation as Denver and play in the mountain air with pine trees and colder weather. We also have a monsoon season in the summer and learn to play in rain and high winds. Additionally, I have played in other states from Pennsylvania to Florida, Utah, Colorado and California. I have the advantage of being able to practice year round!
I used to play basketball too, but golf is my passion. Although golf is mostly an individual sport, I love being part of a team. I try to find a balance between hard work in golf and still trying to have fun and be a teenager.
I just finished the Fall 2021 Semester with straight A’s. I am currently enrolled in Honors and AP classes and we take education very seriously in my family. My father has is Masters Degree and my Mom has a Bachelor's Degree. In college I would like to major in Kinesiology and my dream job would be to work in the Athletic Training field.
