Personal Statement

My goal is to wrestle in college.

I am a high-energy and very competitive wrestler. I enjoy being on the mat and training to be the best wrestler I can become. It does not matter if I am in practice or in a match. I make it a goal to be the hardest worker in the room. I have a good attitude on and off the mats. I believe wrestling is a way of life. I am a team player and enjoy working with others. I believe coachability and respect for others are a successful combination.

I started wrestling at the age of five with the Anna-Jonesboro Jr. Wildcats. Wrestling is a family affair, with my brother and sister being wrestlers too. Wrestling has made me tougher and more resilient in life and as a competitor. I enjoy Freestyle and Greco. My goal is to win a Fargo championship in either style.

I wrestled for Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats in the 132 and 145-pound weight classes during my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I also played freshman and JV football in the running back/defensive back positions. I will wrestle my senior year at Paducah Tilghman High School in Paducah, Ky.

Not only being an athlete, I am a student. I take school very seriously. I focus on my school work just as much as I focus on wrestling. Making good grades is a priority for me.

I look forward for an opportunity to show my abilities.
