Beal Troubled by Injuries in 2015-16 Season

This is yet another blow—albeit a minor one—for the shooting guard after he suffered a shoulder injury and a leg injury earlier in the season and was forced to miss time.

When healthy, Beal is an impressive offensive force who gives the Wizards an additional scoring option in the backcourt alongside superstar point guard John Wall. Beal averaged 15.3 points a game last season and 17.1 the campaign prior, and he is posting 19.2 points a night in the 2015-16 season.

He can stretch the floor with his three-point shooting and take advantage of openings when opposing defenses collapse on Wall’s drives, but he is also a solid penetrator and can draw contact at the rim. The Florida product is also asked to shoulder the scoring load with the second unit at times when Wall rests and is a critical piece of Washington’s lineup if it hopes to make a postseason run in the East.
